Caught in the Act, 2019

In each of these works, paint is applied in layers of varying opacity, and using brushes, scrappers, stencils and a variety of tools, over previous layers, creating surfaces with unexpected details but in which these incidences collectively form a vibrant whole. Colour is paramount in each, creating movement over the composition and harmonies that have surprising accents and unusual groupings, on the edge of cohesion and chaos.
